Virbac is a veterinary products brand that began its direct operations in Portugal in 2001, although its products had been marketed in the country through other pharmaceutical companies since 1990. The company established its own facilities in Sintra on June 1, 2001, after formally acquiring the veterinary business from its distributor. Since then, Virbac has successfully focused on customer satisfaction, supported by its dedicated team.

 

The company already had an initial version of a loyalty platform to deepen their connections with customers. However, it began to encounter performance issues, and the solution was very outdated. Virbac needed a more robust and scalable solution for the next years of activity, which is where AppX came into play.

The primary challenge in developing the new loyalty platform for Virbac was ensuring a seamless transition from the existing system to the upgraded one. This was particularly crucial as numerous clinics across the country were using the old platform daily. It was imperative to implement the new solution without disrupting ongoing operations and to design the platform to be as intuitive as possible. This approach aimed to minimize the need for extensive training, enabling clinic staff nationwide to adapt quickly and continue caring for the paws and claws that depend on them.

AppX developed an entirely new loyalty platform for Virbac veterinary clinics with an intuitive interface allowing for streamlined product browsing and point accumulation through a digital loyalty card. Clients can enjoy discounts across the whole network, enhancing engagement and generating more sales for Virbac. The platform is tailored with role-specific access for commercial and clinical staff and includes an internal news hub. Additionally, integrated SMS marketing foster effective communication and client retention, ensuring a higher level of customer satisfaction.
